To export a site, list or document library in SharePoint Server 2010
· In Central
Administration, on the Home page > Backup and Restore.
· On the Backup
and Restore page > Granular Backup > click Export
a site or list.
· On the Site or
List Export page,
· In the Site
Collection section, select the site collection from the Site
Collection list, and then select the site from the Site list.
· If you are exporting a
list, skip this step, Select the list or document library from the List list.
· In the File
Location section,
· In the Filename box,
type the UNC path of the shared folder and the file to which you want to export
the list or document library.
· The file name must use
the .cmp extension.
· If the file already
exists and you want to use this file, select the Overwrite existing
files check box.
· Otherwise, specify a
different file name.
· If you want to export
all the security and permissions settings with the list or library, in the Export
Full Security section, select the Export full security check
box.
· If you want to specify
which version of the list or library to export, select one of the following
versions from the Export versions list:

All Versions
·
Last Major
·
Current Version
·
Last Major and Last
Minor
· Click Start
Export.
· You can view the
status of all backup jobs at the top of the Granular Backup Job Status page.
· You can view the
status of the current backup job in the Content Export section
of the page.
· The status page
updates every 30 seconds automatically.
· You can manually
update the status details by clicking Refresh. Backup and recovery
are Timer service jobs. Therefore, it may take several seconds for the backup
to start.

Pre-requisites

Ensure backup is already done to farm and
databases.
Step 1: Stop World Wide Web Publishing Service in all SharePoint Servers
Download the Package from the MS path: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2825949
Note: when you download the AUG-CU,there is a CAB file also downloads with this,Both should be in Same location to do AUG CU install.
Step 1: Stop World Wide Web Publishing Service in all SharePoint Servers
Perform CU installation in
the following orders:
Central Admin server
Application Servers
Web Front End Servers
Application Servers
Web Front End Servers
Installation
Steps:
Ø Step 2 : Double click on the “ubersrv2010-kb2825949-fullfile-x64-glb” to start the installation.
Ø Step 2 : Double click on the “ubersrv2010-kb2825949-fullfile-x64-glb” to start the installation.
Ø Step 3
: Check the “Click here to accept the Microsoft Software License Terms” and hit
“Continue”
Ø Step 4
: A window will
prompt and wait
Extracting in progress, This take some time
Determine the list to be updated:
Step 5 : please wait while
the update is installed.
Please Click on Yes to reboot the server
Click OK to complete the installation.
Ø Step 6:

NOTE: you may check in CA >system settings->
Manage Servers in this farm. You will see the status is now under “Upgrade Block”
Installation Required
: The server still not yet install with the same CU that already installed in
other servers.
Upgrade Blocked :
The server is blocked from upgrade. Server is install with latest CU and it
will remained blocked until all the SP servers in the farm are installed with
the same version.
Ø Step 7 : Repeat Step 1 to Step 6 in other SP Servers. (App servers then follow by WFE servers)
Ø Step 7 : Repeat Step 1 to Step 6 in other SP Servers. (App servers then follow by WFE servers)
NOTE: After CU is installed to all servers and
rebooted. The status would change to “Upgrade Available”
Ø Step 8 : Run the SharePoint 2010 Products Configuration Wizard in CA server.
Step 9 : Click “Next” to the SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard window.
Ø Step 8 : Run the SharePoint 2010 Products Configuration Wizard in CA server.
Step 9 : Click “Next” to the SharePoint Products Configuration Wizard window.
Click “Yes” to continue
Click “Next to Continue

Upgrade completed, click “Finish” to end.
Step 10 : Repeat Step 8 to Step 9 other SP Servers. (App servers then follow by WFE servers)
Step 11: Verify on
the installation.
a. Check
SP version in central admin:
i.
CA > Under “System Settings” > Select
“Manage Servers in this Farms” > Ensure the version has change to “14.0.7106.5002”
b. Check
SP servers control panel:
i.
Control Panel > Programs and features > at
left pane, click on “ View installed Updates” > Ensure “KB2825949” is in the list.
c. Check
in SP power shell:
i.
Open the SharePoint 2010 power shell
ii.
Type the following:
1. (get-spfarm).buildversion
2. Ensure
it shows something like 14 0 7106 5002

Detailed SharePoint 2010 SP2 Installation Guide
Follow the
below Detailed steps to Install the SP2 for SharePoint 2010.
· Pre-requisites :
Note: Ensure backup is already done
to farm and databases.
Step 1: Stop World Wide Web Publishing
Service in all SharePoint Servers
Step 2: Perform SP2 installation
in the following orders:

2 – Application Servers
3 – Web Front End Servers

Installation
Steps:
· Down load Binary from the Below MS link.
Step 3
: Check the “Click here to accept the Microsoft Software License Terms” and hit
“Continue”
Step 4
: A window will prompt and wait

Verify on the installation.
a.
Check
SP version in central admin:

CA

b.
Check SP servers control panel:

Control Panel > Programs and features > at left
pane, click on “ View installed Updates” > Ensure “KB2687453” is
in the list.
c.
Check in SP power shell:

Open the SharePoint 2010 power shell
ii.
Type the following:
1.
(get-spfarm).buildversion
2.
Ensure it shows something like 14 0 7015 1000
Once the Upgrade is Done,Please Check the SharePoint Central Admin page and rest all Web sites for functionality.

NOTE: Downtime required
If the Servers are in Failover Clusters,
please follow the below steps:
[2 active nodes and 1 passive nodes]
[Active Node A, Active Node B, Passive node C]
1. Upgrade Node C.
2. failover one instance from
Node A to Node C . Now node C is running one instance and Node A has become
passive node
3. Upgrade the node A.
4. failover one instance from
Node B to Node A . Now node A is running one instance and Node B has become
passive node
5. Upgrade the node B.
OR,
[3 active nodes and 1 passive nodes]
[Active Node A, Active Node B, Active Node C,
Passive node D]
1. Upgrade Node D.
2. failover one instance from
Node A to Node D . Now node D is running one instance and Node A has become
passive node
3. Upgrade the node A.
4. failover one instance from
Node B to Node A . Now node A is running one instance and Node B has become
passive node
5. Upgrade the node B.
6. failover one instance from
Node C to Node B . Now node B is running one instance and Node C has become
passive node
7. Upgrade the node C.
SQL CU08 upgrade steps:
Step 1 :
File name : SQLServer2008R2-KB2871401-x64
Click Continue.
Installation
in progress:
Upgrade
completed:
Note: if server not rebooted automatically, Do manual
reboot.
Step 8 :
After the server is rebooted. Perform the following few verifications:
Go SQL Management Studio > Help tab > About…
Go SQL Management Studio > Help tab > About…
Versions Should be as
below : 10.50.4290.0
Check in Control Panel > Programs and features > at left pane, click on “ View installed Updates” > Ensure “KB2871401” is in the list.
Once the Upgrade is Done Check the SharePoint Central Admin page and rest All web sites are working.
