The SharePoint 2010 April 2015 Cumulative Updates have been released:

Note:

1.   After installing the fixes you need to run the SharePoint 2010 Products Configuration Wizard on each machine in the farm.
2.   Be aware that the SharePoint Server 2010 CU contains the SharePoint Foundation CU.That means only one package has to be installed for the SharePoint 2010 product family.
3.   Be aware that the February Cumulative Update for SharePoint 2010 is a Post-SP2 hot fix. It is required to have SP2 installed before installing the February CU.
4.   This CU includes all SharePoint 2010 fixes released since SP2. The CU does not include SP2.
5.   Attention: this CU no longer supports SP1! It is required to have SP2 installed for the base product and all installed language packs to install February 2015 CU for SharePoint 2010.

Note:

1.   After installing the fixes you need to run the SharePoint 2013 Products Configuration Wizard on each machine in the farm.
2.   Be aware that the SharePoint Server 2013 CU contains the SharePoint Foundation CU. And the SharePoint Server 2013 with Project Server CU contains Project Server CU, SharePoint Server CU and SharePoint Foundation CU.
3.   Be aware that all Updates for SharePoint 2013 require SharePoint Server 2013 SP1 OR March 2013 PU for SharePoint 2013 to be installed first.
4.   This CU includes all SharePoint 2013 fixes released since RTM. The CU does not include SP1. You can install SP1 before or after installing this CU.

Cumulative Updates for AppFabric(Distributed cache)

There are currently five released Cumulative Updates (CU) for AppFabric 1.1, CU1 to CU5. An AppFabric Cumulative Update is exactly the same as a CU for SharePoint, it contains all previous CUs. So if you install CU5 you also get CU1 to CU4 installed.

  • CU4 – KB2800726
  • CU5 – KB2932678

Issue: The Web server at "Web site collection URL" does not appear to have Microsoft SharePoint Foundation installed

Cause: The Web server at "Web site collection URL" does not appear to have Microsoft SharePoint Foundation installed

Solution: Please follow the steps below to resolve this problem, enable the client integration. To do this, follow these steps:

1.   Start SharePoint 2010 Central Administration, and then click Security.
2.   Click Specify authentication providers.
3.   If the Web application in the Web Application list is not the same application that you want to open in SharePoint Designer 2010, click Web Application on the Change Web Application list.
4.   On the Select Web Application page, click the name of the Web application that you want to open.
5.   Under Zone, Click Default to open the Edit Authentication page.
6.   Under Enable Client Integration, click Yes, and then click Save.

How to change the IE compatibility mode

Description: there are many times that the SharePoint administrators need to run the sites with different IE version which is not exist. In this case we run those sites with the compatibility mode. Please check the details below how to run the IE in different compatibility modes.

Solution: Please follow the solutions below.

1.   Open your Internet Explorer browser and press F12 key on your keyboard. This will open Internet Explorer 10 Developer Tools toolbar

 


2.   Select Browser Mode of IE10 on the main menu and choose the Internet Explorer  option which you need to run .
